Great show as always, Zoë! The Jonathan Richman tune and the music from The Island were fab surprises.
BTW, you forgot the "q" in antiquepopmusic.com, which currently links to nowhere as a result. Ling's latest episode profiles the under-recognized male singers of Shanghai pop, including famous composer Yao Min (brother of Yao Lee) who happens to be the fellow singing with Zhou Xuan on the song you played.
Finally, thanks for mentioning Panda! Go, Panda! I definitely gotta see that one! :D
Hey Dave, glad you enjoyed the show. Thanks for the Yao Min info, I will fix that link now.
Today's show should be online tomorrow.
Hope you enjoy Panda! Go, Panda!, I'm off to watch Jay Chou in The Green Hornet tonight, interesting casting.
