What a coincidence! I've just been listening nonstop to Nina Simone in my car the past couple of weeks.
She truly is one of a kind. When I first listened to her a few years ago, I was absolutely surprised. Not only did she have an expressive and unique voice, but she was also a fantastic pianist. I love both her original songs and her rearrangements.
Anyway, thanks for the clip! It's my first time seeing her perform. :D
Have you heard her do 'Pirate Jenny'? Amazing! Glad you are a fan as well.
I can't listen to her sing 'Porgy' without crying.
Yeah, Nina is pretty cool as "Pirate Jenny"!
